Rechargeable and Battery Handles power all 2.5V or 3.5v Welch Allyn instrument heads. The nickel-cadmium batteries can be recharged conveniently by plugging the built-in charger into any conventional wall outlet.
The convertible 3.5V handle (71000-C) is rechargeable and can also be converted for use with standard C-cell batteries.

WA71000-A: Built-in AC adapter with prongs enables convenient recharging wherever your practice takes you - a completely portable power handle!
WA71000-C: Converts to C-cell operation quickly and easily - a stop gap if you ever forget or cannot recharge your handle (as in overseas or remote travel).
